Stephen Kapusta
President, CEO and Director
Mr Kapusta is a Professional Engineer with over 20 years experience in oil and gas exploration and production. He joined Canex in May 2002 and as President and COO and became the first fulltime employee. In July 2004 he was promoted to CEO. Prior to joining Canex he was at Star Oil & Gas Ltd a private company from August 1993 to October 2001. At Star he was promoted to Manager then Vice President of Resource Development and Marketing a position he held for five years prior to joining Canex. At Star Mr. Kapusta was responsible for exploitation engineering, acquisitions (property and corporate), marketing, business development, budgeting and planning. During his time at Star the company's production grew from 8,000 to 20,000 boepd. Prior to Star he worked in positions of increasing responsibility from 1985 -1988 with Texaco Canada and 1988- 1993 with Unocal Canada.
Mark Birchard
Vice President Exploration
Mr. Birchard has over 17 years of experience as a geologist working primarily in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Mr. Birchard joined the Canex team full time in August 2003. Previously he was a director of Canex from 2000 to 2003. Mr Birchard was Vice President of Exploration for Capture Energy Ltd a private oil and gas company he co-founded in 2000. Capture was sold to Midnight Oil & Gas Ltd in May 2003. Prior to Capture, Mr. Birchard was a Team Leader / Senior exploration geologist with Rio Alto Exploration where he was responsible for managing and developing growth prospects in central (W5) and northern (W6) Alberta.
Neil Holmes
Vice President Land
Mr. Holmes joined Canex in October 2003. Mr. Holmes is a professional landman with over 24 years of surface, mineral and contract negotiation experience. Prior to joining Canex he consulted for several small oil and gas companies and held senior land positions with major companies operating in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
Lesley Miller
Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Miller is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years experience working in public practice and as Controller/CFO for public and private oil and gas companies. She joined Canex in September 2005 as Controller and was promoted to CFO in November 2005. Prior to joining Canex, she was Controller with Hawker Resources Inc. and acting chief accountant of its predecessor, Synsorb Biotech Inc. (publicly traded companies) from September 2002 to May 2005. Prior to that time, she was CFO for Real Resources Inc., a publicly traded junior oil and gas company, from January 1998 to February 2002.
Michael A. Woloschuk
Vice President Operations
Mr. Woloschuk is a Professional Engineer with over 22 years experience in the oil and gas industry. He joined Canex in April 2004 as VP Operations. Prior to joining Canex, Mr. Woloschuk was a founder and Vice President, Operations of Moxie Exploration Ltd. from January 2000 until July 2003 when Moxie Exploration Ltd. was sold. From May 1998 to December 1999 he was a manager and then Vice President, Production with Moxie Petroleum Ltd., a start-up company. Previously, Mr Woloschuk held senior positions with Murphy Oil, Cimarron Petroleum, and WestCastle Energy Corp.

C. Lal Narang
Chairman of the Board, Independent Businessman
Mr. Narang was a founder and Chairman of the Board of Canex Energy Inc. He was CEO of Canex from inception until July 2004 and CFO until November 2005. Mr. Narang is also President of Capital Leasing Investment Corp since 1989 and Capri Capital Corp. since 1995, both private companies investing in real estate and mortgages. Prior to starting Canex Mr. Narang worked in the energy industry for 25 years. He was also on the Board of the Alberta Securities Commission for six years. Mr. Narang is currently on the Boards of CPVC Blackcomb Inc., Rogers Associate Financial Partners Inc. and Production Enhancement Group Inc.

Steve Dabner
CEO, Trimox Energy, Director
Mr. Dabner is a Professional Geologist with over 22 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently Mr. Dabner is the President, CEO and a Director of Trimox Energy Inc., a junior oil and gas company that he co-founded in December 2004. Prior to that he was the President, CEO and Director of Moxie Exploration Ltd. until its sale in July 2003. He was a co-founder of Moxie Exploration Ltd. and prior thereto Moxie Petroleum Ltd. where he held the roles of Vice-President Exploration, Chief Financial Officer and Director. Mr. Dabner has served as an independent Director of Canex Energy Inc. since April 2004.
William Hess
Independent Businessman, Director
Mr. Hess has been a Managing Partner of Canadian Public Venture Capital Group since March 2003. He was a consultant to McMillan Binch Mendelsohn in Montreal, Quebec from May 2002 to March 2005. He was the President of the Canadian Venture Exchange (now TSX Venture) from its inception in November 1999 until January 2002. From 1992 to 1999, he was the Chairman of the Alberta Securities Commission. Mr. Hess holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.) from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 1979 and in Alberta in 1981. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1993.
Mr. Hess was the Chairman and a Director of Canadian Public Venture Equities I Inc., a capital pool company listed on TSX Venture that completed its Qualifying Transaction and is now Allen-Vanguard Corporation, a public company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange ("TSX"). From March 2003 to June 2004, Mr. Hess was the Chairman and a Director of Canadian Public Venture Capital I Inc., a capital pool company listed on TSX Venture that completed its Qualifying Transaction with NordTech Aerospace Inc. and is now Exeltech Aerospace Inc. From October 2003 to August 31, 2005, he was also the Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and a Director of Canadian Public Venture Finance I Inc., a capital pool company listed on TSX Venture that completed its Qualifying Transaction and is now Extenway Solutions Inc.
Mr. Hess is currently a Director of Extenway Solutions Inc., a public company listed on TSX Venture. Mr. Hess is also currently a Director of Allen-Vanguard Corporation. Mr. Hess is a Director of CPVC Tremblant Inc., a capital pool company listed on TSX Venture.
